The first winner of the International Invention Gold Medal in the industry

Jointly developed by Shandong Xingang Enterprise Group and Northeast Forestry University, the Bionic Ultra-Thin Fiberboard stood out amid fierce competition against over 1,000 exhibition entries from more than 40 countries and regions worldwide, and ultimately won the Gold Medal at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions. As one of the world’s longest-running and largest invention exhibitions, the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions was founded in 1973. Its judging panel consists of more than 80 independent global experts, including renowned foreign academicians and Nobel laureates, making it a top-tier event in the global invention sector. Past awardees cover top universities, research institutions and enterprises across the globe, such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, Siemens, Huawei, BYD, Gree and other world-class organizations and well-known international corporations.

Xingang’s bionic ultra-thin fiberboard boasts a minimum thickness of merely 0.5 mm. It features automatic mass production, ultra-thin gauge, smooth and flawless surfaces, excellent flexibility and outstanding machinability. It delivers superior performance in environmental friendliness, water resistance, pliability and weather resistance, and has been appraised as a world-leading product.

It addresses long-standing industry pain points plaguing the panel market, including low processing efficiency, excessive formaldehyde content and poor veneering effects.
